CLIMATE CHANGE

MOTIVATION
&
GOALS

In the past few years, the occurrence of extreme weather has been increasing. Squalls occur in non-tropical countries, heavy rain and heavy snow occur every year. People and the earth are suffering from abnormal climate. Unlike early natural disasters, the extreme weather is very hard to predict. Such sudden damage is even greater because we cannot prepare in advance.

As it is difficult to predict the phenomenon itself in an abnormal climate, contemporary research has focused more on attribution of causes to trends in events (National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine, 2016). So we are aiming to analyse the causes of extreme weather, and give possible solutions to reduce damage

HYPOTHESIS

Various abnormal climates currently occurring are phenomena caused by excessive use of fossil fuels

vs

Extreme weather is not entirely caused by human activities : nature events like El Nino, La Nina could cause extreme weather
